Winter Trophy 2012 – Göteborg
On January 28th and 29th the Swedish Fish participated in their most competitive tournament to-date – Wintertrophy in Göteborg. The Swedish Fish were seeded in a pool with our friends from Estonia, Sexy Legs; Akka from Lund; UFO’s A team , and Viima, another Finnish team, the previous year’s winner, who took home the gold that weekend also.

The Swedish Fish participated in their inaugural tournament last weekend in Uppsala and couldn’t be happier. This year The Fish came with 11 players and ended up earning silver and the spirit award!

One thing that stands out about the Swedish Fish is that very few of us are what you would call “typical Swedes” in fact, the majority of us aren’t even Swedish at all. “Tvart om” as we would say here in Sweden. We all come from different backgrounds, we’ve all had different introductions to Ultimate and our experience level varies widely.

As Fish, we clearly like to be outdoors. Streams, rivers, lakes, and oceans are the stuff we live for, but if the only way we can keep swimming is to be in a fish tank, bring it on!!!
